Above: The Josiah Heald House, located at 245 Rockland Road. The home was constructed in 1773

Josiah Heald, brother of Lieutenant Samuel Heald, participated in the Battle of Lexington and Concord as a private in Captain Solomon Pollard’s Billerica militia company which was a part of Colonel Green’s regiment.
Carlisle Patriots Day 250 is a fiscally sponsored project of the Carlisle Historical Society with the support of the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and MA250. We work in close partnership with the Carlisle 250 Committee,  an official town committee formed to coordinate the town's commemoration of the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
