Above: The plaque erected on April 19th 1975 honoring the Minutemen who assembled on the Town Common and marched to the North Bridge 200 years prior. Robert Thompson of the Carlisle American Bicentennial Commission could only find primary source documentation for the individuals listed on the plaque; however, tradition tells of others joining the march and/or taking alternate routes to the North Bridge.

Above: The plaque installed at the Gleason Public Library in 1934 to honor the twenty Revolutionary Patriots buried in Carlisle. The tablet was a gift of Mary Green, Carlisle's first library director and a notable descendant of several soldiers who are listed. Mrs. Green also worked with fellow resident Elizabeth Robbins Berry and members of the Sons of the American Revolution to place bronze markers at each soldier's grave.

Carlisle Patriots Day 250 is a fiscally sponsored project of the Carlisle Historical Society with the support of the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and MA250. We work in close partnership with the Carlisle 250 Committee,  an official town committee formed to coordinate the town's commemoration of the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
