Timothy HEALD
1762-1813

Timothy Heald enlisted on July 27th 1780 and was a Private in Captain Abraham Andrew’s company in Colonel Abraham Andrews company in Colonel Cyprian How’s regiment. The regiment later detached from the Middlesex County militia to reinforce the continental army for three months through the end of the war.

Timothy was likely one of Captain Samuel Heald’s seven young recruits who joined the army to satisfy the District’s quota at the end of the war.
Carlisle Patriots Day 250 is a fiscally sponsored project of the Carlisle Historical Society with the support of the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and MA250. We work in close partnership with the Carlisle 250 Committee,  an official town committee formed to coordinate the town's commemoration of the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
